Taipei Medical University (TMU) established in 1960, over the past half-century, TMU was able to grow under challenging circumstances without regular official budget from the government or funding from foundations. The Office of Physical Education Affairs, which initiated with only two sports teams, the Rugby and Soccer, underwent the process of transformation to 15 sports teams today. Certainly these breakthroughs and innovations, have proceeded from the contributions and effort made by OPEA staffs and alumni.
The performance of sports team is always the priority in business affairs of OPEA. Training is well-scheduled and strictly executed in every team. The hard work made by both instructors and team members can be seen by the outstanding performance in various national competitions.
「TMU Elite Sportsman Event」which established in 2016, formed an amazing bond between alumni and current students. Generous experience sharing and financial supporting provided by the alumni are the greatest treasure to the teams. These contributions and inspirations will definitely be appreciated and we promise that we will never stop seeking for more breakthrough in return.
