Physical Education Courses:
TMU Physical Education Courses (PEC) are designed to show correct methods of exercise, and to promote physical fitness of students. We hope that all TMU students can master 1-2 kinds of sports before graduation. And with the knowledge and proficiency on sports, students can enjoy a healthy and joyful life.
PEC are required for all undergraduate students (except for the Post-Bachelor Program students). Students need to select PEC in at least six semesters. To pass the course, students need to get a score of 60 points or above (0 credit for the six semester compulsory courses of physical education), and completes the swimming skills test before graduation.
All PE course can be found and selected in the Course System during the course selection period that announced by the Course Section, Academic Office.
Physical Fitness Verification
PE Physical Fitness Verification Test Safety & Precautions
To ensure the safety of students while verification test is undergoing, teachers should be aware of the following issues. Before performing the test, 「Sports Safety Survey」is required to fill out by students for evaluation to run the test.
- Before the test begin, teachers should make sure the health condition of each student is able to run the test.
- A review of students’ medical history, test should be avoided if the student has been advised to prevent any vigorous activities .
- If there is dizziness, shortness of breath, or other unwell symptoms during the test, stop the test immediately and seek medical advice as soon as possible.
